Grandma got too old to join us at the beach.
What to do?
A postcard is so limited, impersonal and photos just old hat.
So what now?
The answer was a sense card, for all six senses:
See Me - See all the flotsam and jetsam collected from the beach
Touch me - Rub your fingers over the sand, dried seaweed, driftwood
Hear Me - Raise a shell to your ear and hear the haunting sound of the ocean
Smell Me - Smell the dried seahorse, cuttlefish, seaweed
Feel Me - Be touched by the memories evoked by the collection of debris
Taste Me - Lick the seaweed and sand and taste the saltiness of the sea
Grandma loved it.
She cried!
